How the course counts
A claim is only as good as the count behind it. This is the count: what data, what accounting, and where it stops being able to tell.
The data
Daily bars of six instruments: Apple, Tesla and an S&P 500 index fund (SPY) on the stock side; Bitcoin, Ethereum and Solana on the crypto side. Stock prices come from Yahoo's public chart data, adjusted for splits and dividends; coin prices from Binance's public market data. The series end in early September 2026, and each lesson names the window it used.
Four prices a day, and no order
A daily bar holds an open, a high, a low and a close — and nothing about which came first. When a stop and a target both sit inside the same day, the bar cannot say which was hit. On the day of entry the course counts only the stop. That is a choice, not a fact, and the lessons say so.
Honest fills, honest costs
An order counts as filled only if price actually traded through it, approaching from the side the order was waiting on. Costs are charged on every trade: about 0.05% of the position for a round trip on a stock and 0.20% on crypto — the channel's model. Your venue's fee page is the one that counts.
Two error bars before any conclusion
A difference is reported with its error bar, and a difference smaller than two error bars is treated as not measured. Not measured is an answer too. Not every lesson in the course does this: many of the earlier ones ranked numbers without one, and some of their findings would not clear two. The later lessons say which.
The half the rule was not chosen on
When a lesson picks the best of several settings, the winner is checked on the part of the data it was not picked on. In the setups module the best of 21 combinations made +0.38R a trade on the first half of the data and −0.1R on the second, and 17 of the 21 did worse on the second half. Searching finds something every time; only unsearched data says whether it was there.
What the count cannot see
Everything here is daily bars of six instruments over the years the course had. A different market needs its own count. And surviving means a claim was tested and held — not that it holds forever. Run the count again when the data changes.
